Upcoming Services and the COVID-19 Pandemic

My Dearest Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

His Eminence Archbishop Alexander has asked that we, in obedience limit the Liturgical Services to clergy, an altar server, and a small group of singers.  All of the services will be live streamed on our YouTube page. Although the doors will not be locked, I am asking the faithful that they remain obedient to the Archbishop in this matter, and continue to "act first in regards to others, and then act in regards to themselves."

This crisis has no doubt been a difficult period for all of us, and I suspect that in the coming days, there will be new challenges and lenten trials that we will all have to face together.  If at any time, any of our parish families are in need of assistance, I ask that you call or email me (frgabrielsmm@gmail.com), and I will do what I can to gather the parish community together to assist.

Although this news is all difficult to hear, I have had one thought that has been getting me through all of this.  When the restrictions on attendance are lifted by both our Holy Synod of Bishops and the local authorities, imagine the glorious celebration that will occur on that first Sunday that we physically gather together for the Divine Liturgy!  This thought above all others is what will carry us through the darkness that we currently find ourselves in!  Keep calm...and wait for that moment!

Each one of you will be in my daily prayers, and will be remembered at every Divine Liturgy that is served at our little Church in the Woods.

Your Servant in Christ,
Fr. Gabriel
