Welcoming New Warriors for Christ

On Monday June 1st, (after a long wait due to COVID-19) our little Church in the woods welcomed John, Herman, Richard, and Miriam to the Holy Orthodox Faith. Due to the limitations inside the Church Temple itself, with the blessing of His Eminence Archbishop Alexander, the service was held outside at the Shrine to the Theotokos. Coupled with the cantor, creation itself sang the responses through the rustling of leaves and the chip of the many birds that inhabit our beautiful property. After the service, the entire family came into the Church to receive the Holy Eucharist for the first time as a family.

The entire day was a tremendous reminder of the power of the Holy Spirit that comes and transforms us as Human Beings. With this upcoming Sunday being Pentecost, let us all follow the example of our newest brothers and sisters, and allow the indwelling of the Holy Spirit to transform our own lives, as we continue to draw closer to the Kingdom of God!
