Parish Groups and Ministries
The Orthodox Mom's Group is made up of mothers who get together to discuss how best to help raise their children within the Traditions of the Orthodox Faith.
This group is to provide an Orthodox Christian witness in the education of our youth while providing an ongoing opportunity for our children to come together to develop spiritually, academically and socially.
The St. Sophia’s Nursery Hour is for parents of babies and young children to come together for fellowship, and coffee, during the week. The group gathers on Wednesday mornings following Divine Liturgy approx. 11:00am -12:00pm
(The group still meets on Wednesday even if Divine Liturgy is not held)
This is a wonderful opportunity for children to learn and explore the church while parents come together to share parenting life, joys and discuss the raising of their little saints.
Reach out to Matushka Laura with any questions.
The Young Adult Group meets every Thursday to discuss various books and topics relating to the Orthodox Spiritual Life. The participants in the group range from 18-45 years old, but all are welcome to participate!
SMMOY stands for St. Mary Magdalene Orthodox Youth Group, and is made up of students from age 12-17 who meet once a month for service projects, social activities, and discussions with clergy about navigating the world with an Orthodox Christian mindset.
The St. Nicholas Tech Team is responsible for promoting, updating, and enhancing the online presence of our parish. It encompasses the website, social media accounts, and live-streaming so that we can continue to spread the word of Orthodoxy through modern communication channels.
As is traditional in Holy Orthodoxy we Sing and Chant responses in our worship services. We are blessed to have a beautiful choir!
We have wonderful people in our parish that help us attend and call us to prayer with the ringing of the bells.
