The parish family gathered together after Divine Liturgy, to hold the first annual Chili-Cook Off at Silver Lake Park in Fenton.

Twelve chili recipes were voted upon by those who attended.  In the end, Angela Buzea's chili came in with the most votes, followed closely by Jeanette Hildreth!  Angela was awarded with the icon of St. Ephrosynos, the patron saint of cooking, for her kitchen wall!  Thank you to all who participated in this awesome event!

After the Chili Cook-off, several of our parishioners joined forces with St. Nicholas Orthodox Church in Burton, to face off against St. George and Holy Assumption in a Pan-Orthodox Softball Game!  It was a wonderful event that inspired fellowship amongst our Brothers and Sisters in the other Flint Orthodox Churches.  

Thank you to everyone who cooked, set up, and help clean up after all of our events this past week!
